Cosmetology  

Cosmetology is a field with excellent long-term earning potential, which builds gradually but steadily. Cosmetologist must earn 14 hours of continuing education every two years for license renewal. There are excellent career opportunities for both men and women.

  • Style, shape, trim, color, and perm hair
  • Perform sterilization and sanitation of implements
  • Develop and maintain professional ethics
  • Understand shop management and cosmetology law
  • Use esthetics in applying makeup
  • Facials and skin care
  • Manicures

PhotoThe study of anatomy and physiology as it relates to Cosmetology is an important part of this program. Math and science are important in the use of measurement of chemicals. Communication skills are essential in relating to clients.

PhotoTech prep courses and credits available:

Advanced training is available in the form of seminars and workshops to learn new trends, materials, supplies, and techniques. Cosmetology CACC students can also receive additional training to become beauty school instructors.
